2020 Best Sellers Round Up

Happy New Year! As we reflect on 2020 and prepare for our 2021 goals, I wanted to share some of my 2020 best sellers. It makes me so happy when you all love the items that I share. And when I start looking back at my sales stats, it also helps me to better understand what you want to see more of!

Best Seller Trends from 2020

I’m definitely seeing a trend from last year. Affordable fashion, Target finds, and Amazon finds were some crowd favorites. But that’s not to say that other more splurge worthy staples didn’t make the list. I’m all about a good deal, so I always try to share the higher priced items when they go on sale – like my favorite oversized Free People sweater below (wearing a small here). This sweater retails for over $100, but I’ve found it on sale anywhere from $40-$90. When I shared it on sale, it quickly became a 2020 best seller.

My bright pink blazer (wearing a size 2) was a much loved piece by both me and you! I love this pop of color for a fun night out – but you can also keep it simple with a more muted tone, as this one comes in a few colors. It’s the perfect day to night piece – and totally appropriate for the office. I also can’t forget to mention these high waist ripped skinny jeans. I pretty much live in these jeans (well that is, the few times that I’ve worn jeans during quarantine). They are so flattering and a nice, thick denim material. I’m wearing a 26 long and they fit perfect. All of these items made the 2020 best sellers list.

Affordable 2020 Best Sellers

Like I said before, affordable finds definitely made top of the list. Target was clutch this year with offering the cutest, most affordable sweaters, cardigans, dresses, and more. The below chunky cardigan was my number one seller. I sized up to a medium for an oversized fit. I love how it looks with leggings and a cropped tank – but you can totally style it with jeans too.

In the last year, I rediscovered American Eagle and Abercrombie. It still cracks me up that I’m shopping at retailers that I wore in high school, but I can’t lie, they have some great pieces. The gray henley above is an AE finds and so cozy. I love American Eagle for casual basics and Abercrombie for their jeans. Although Abercrombie has made a major comeback with fashionable pieces and affordable closet staples too.

Best Selling Closet Staples

These next two outfits are closet staples and made the 2020 best sellers list. My gray midi dress was a Nordstrom sale find and sold out so fast. Luckily it’s back in stock in black and the perfect fall and winter piece. It runs super small – I sized up two sizes to a US 6 (I’m typically a US 2) so I would suggest sizing up in this one.

Another hot trend from 2020, which is still going strong in 2021, is white sneakers. As you can see from above, I’m a big fan! These Adidas sleek sneakers were a 2020 best seller – and under $100! I’ve gotten so much use out of them and they can be styled so many different ways. They are also super comfortable and have made it many miles without making my feet hurt. I sized up a half size in these to a 7.5

Athleisure Makes the Best Sellers 2020 List

I can’t say I’m surprised about this one. Spending most of 2020 at home meant that people are shopping for comfortable items to wear while home. My favorite high waist Lululemon leggings were a favorite as well as these Lululemon joggers. I wear a size 4 in both of these. I’ve had these black leggings for 4+ years and they are still in amazing condition. I would consider these more of a splurge, but they hold up better than any leggings I’ve ever owned. So worth every penny in my opinion!

Best Selling Sweater and Booties

The last two pieces that I’ll go into detail about are this white turtleneck sweater (wearing a small) and these classic black booties (wearing my normal size 7). The white sweater is a total Free People look-alike that I found on Amazon. It’s only $35 and is great quality for the price. It also comes in a ton of colors and I plan to add more to my collection soon!

My black booties in the picture on the right are the perfect closet staple for every fall and winter. These will never go out of style. The leather is soft and durable while still being a comfortable shoe to wear all day. I purchased these in the fall last year and know that they will last me several seasons. They fit true to size.
