New WordPress Blog is Live!!!
Hi friends! I’m back! And in case you didn’t notice, I spent the last few weeks completely revamping my website. I decided to make the switch from Blogger to WordPress. This intimidated me for a long time so I kept putting it off. I finally started doing some research and instead of going with my original plan (hiring someone to do it for me), I decided to spend the time, learn a little something new and do it all by myself!
You are probably thinking define “by yourself”…so I definitely did not learn how to code and build a website over night. I purchased my new design from Pipdig. The owner is super smart and very responsive to pretty much all questions. If you are in the market for a new theme or want to make the switch to WordPress, I highly suggest checking them out. They provide you with step by step instructions on how to load your new theme and get everything up and running. There were a few things that I got completely stuck on and could not figure out. I commented on the article that they sent me and the owner responded within 15 minutes – talk about great customer service! And his response helped me figure out what I was doing wrong.
Oh and I spent hours upon hours on that site we call “google” – it really does know everything.
Switching to WordPress
If you are considering making the move, I definitely suggest it. WordPress is MUCH easier to navigate than Blogger and it has so many more features. I am learning as I go and there are improvements I would still like to make, but that will come in time. One of the most helpful articles I read was from Blogging 4 Keeps. Jess and Blair walk you through every step from start to finish. I had no clue where to even begin, but following their instructions led me to a successful finish. When I got stumped on certain steps, I looked to google or phoned a friend (sorry Ashley for stalking you and sending you screenshots of everything I got stuck on). PS – check out her blog With Love and Happiness because she did an amazing job at building her WordPress site!
If you are thinking about switching to WordPress, or starting a brand new WordPress blog – do it! I put it off for months and when I finally started it, I regretted not doing it sooner. Yes, it can be intimidating, but there are so many resources out there to help you. If you have any questions or want any help with making the jump, please let me know. I would love to help (or at least try) in any way that I can! AND if you have any tips or suggestions, I would love hear them. Please leave a comment below or send me an email.
On to the Outfit
And now to get some pretty pictures in this post, I’ll tell you a little about this super cute outfit. I could basically live in a shirt dress or sweater dress with some over the knee boots. This dress is more light weight so I layered it with a leather jacket. I love mixing camel and navy blue…and pretty much camel with any color.
My jacket and purse are what I consider “investment” pieces, but my boots and dress are more affordable. I’m all about mixing high end with affordable. And it’s usually pretty easy to make less expensive items look more expensive with the right accessories.

❤️Whit
